No, don’t leave you valuables unprotected; don’t go to dark, quite and unknown places particularly after dark and a few others.

In South Africa there is an extremely efficient airport and airline network along with all the well known vehicle hire firms. The national roads are in very good condition, are all tarred and a pleasure to drive on. Getting around is easy but distances are long, plan your route carefully. As far as accommodation goes, there is a network of Tourism Grading Council approved establishments. We recommend any of these from three-star to five star. Guest Houses offer better value for money than the larger Hotels. We recommend that you book rather than just arriving and hoping for a room. Your host will welcome any questions and will be able to give travel advice with regard to his specific region.   

South Africa is a diverse and vast country with nine provinces, some eleven languages and, corner to corner it has a distance from one point to another of a little under 2000 km’s. So no, we can hardly cover all of this in a few words.

Why visit South Africa

Our magnificent Game reserves and the popular City of Cape Town are probably the primary reasons that travellers visit. Add the Western Cape in general, the most beautiful wine-lands around Stellenbosch, whale watching in Hermanus and you have a few more reasons. Then there’s the wonderful Wild Coast, the Garden Route which meanders along the southernmost coast of Africa and our wonderful and colourful people… so why not visit South Africa?
