In addition to offering travelling golfers some of the best golf courses in South Africa, the region is beautified by the Knysna Lagoon, the many waterways that meander through the mountainous coastal region and some of the best beaches in the world.

Located near the centre of this region, the town of Knysna, in itself probably the most sought after area to visit, offers residents a central base from which to explore the region. Take short trips in and around Knysna and you will be amazed by what’s on offer to the visitor. In addition to beaches, river cruises and a multitude of water sports, the region is populated by magnificent restaurants and golf courses. In Knysna alone there are three highly rated courses, all this within a few minutes or just a short road trip from Hawks Eyrie - a special place in itself and an extremely convenient base from which to explore this Eden like region.

Why Eyrie? A Hawk or Eagles nest, usually located in high places, is typically called an eyrie. Owned by the Hawkins family (Hawk), Hawks Eyrie is located high atop the hills on the Eastern Side of the Knysna Heads. Hawks Eyrie allows one to enjoy expansive views of the ocean and the wonderful Pezula Golf course.

There are two accommodation options on offer:

A) The entire house for 2-8 persons or         B) The honeymoon suite , a large one bed roomed suite for 2 persons
